Basketball 2/27-3/1 - TACS Varsity Basketball Tournament Parent Page Podcast Brownie Sundae Sale on Friday, 2/28 Not sure if you noticed or not with all those wonderful, I mean, erm, rotten, snow days we had off, the seniors were supposed to be selling their brownie sundaes on Friday. Obviously, that didn't happen. So it's going to happen this Friday. Which is tomorrow. No. I'm not trying to insult your intelligence. I'm just reminding myself to bring my $2 so I, too, may indulge in an ooey gooey yummilicious brownie sundae treat. Because I feel I have earned it. Plus I have new elastic waisted dresses that I'm going to try out. ;) Lost & Found Sale, 2/26-2/28 We're right smack dab in the middle of the lost & found sale of this month. So if you haven't seen that one shoe or that bookbag in a bit, you want to look at the tables before everything is cleared out on Friday. Everything's $1. Open Enrollment, 3/1 Two very special things will be happe...

Basketball 2/24-2/25 - TACS MS Regional Basketball Tournament 2/21 - VG, Home, South Haven, 5:00 2/21 - VB, Home, South Haven, 6:30   Parent Page Podcast   Lost & Found Sale, 2/26-2/28 To avoid terrorizing small children who pass by the bins, we will be having a lost & found sale next Wednesday through Friday. So if you've misplaced something, or maybe haven't seen your favorite pair of socks or hairbow in a while, you may want to dig through before the sale. That's when it's free to reclaim. Once it hits the tables, you know what happens.  If you love a good sale where everything is only $1, you'll want to stop by and peruse the items. I'm sure there are a few who, like me, thought we were beginning spring a little early this year. Then the weather decided we'd had enough beautiful days and threw a hissy weather fit. Yes. It's a real thing.  If your student is coughing, sneezing, wheezing, or complaining that they aren't feeling we...

Basketball 2/13-2/15 - TSIAA Varsity State Tournament 2/18 - VG, Home, Pleasant View Christian, 6:00 - Senior Night 2/18 - VB, Home, Pleasant View Christian, 7:30 - Senior Night 2/20-2/22 - TACS MS REgional Basketball Tournament 2/20 - VG, Home, South Haven, 6:00 2/20 - VB, Home, South Haven, 7:30   Parent Page Podcast   Valentine's Day Valentine's Day. Those two words can strike terror or happiness into ones soul - depending on their circumstances. Those who are cynical may say that it was only created by the chocolate manufacturers and Hallmark to sell stuff. But did you know Valentine's Day was founded by a real person? Read on. In the 3rd century, Emperor Claudius 2, a Roman emperor who had battle on the brain, decided to outlaw marriage for his young soldiers. Why? Because he thought unmarried men made better soldiers. Why he thought that, I have no idea, but it does make me think he wasn't all there in the head. But that's an opinion for ano...

Basketball 2/4-2/9 - TSIAA Varsity District Tournament 2/10-2/15 - TSIAA Varsity State Tournament   Parent Page Podcast Re-Enrollment Has Begun, 2/1 It's February and re-enrollment has begun in force for our current FRCS students, and let's just say, unenrolled siblings are chomping at the bit waiting anxiously for the calendar to roll over to 2/15 so they can hopefully get a place on the roster. Some have been waiting oh...so...long... If you haven't gotten your registration fee and forms in yet and want to secure a spot here, don't delay. Seriously. Don't. We've already seen a significant increase in enrollment with that little Education Freedom Act that was passed last week.  If you want to stay here at FRCS, don't wait. It's not a good idea. Valentine's Due, 2/7 Here's your friendly reminder of three things.  One. Tomorrow is the last day to turn in the Valentine's order for your student. And for those of you who aren't sure, ye...

JV & Varsity Basketball 2/17-2/19 JV State Basketball Tournament 2/24-2/26 Varsity State Basketball Tournament   Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! Why is that a saying? I mean, what if you don't like chicken dinners? Which I do, but I'm really wondering. What happens if you get a really picky person who hates just about everything except beef and potatoes? I know some people like that. It just doesn't quite roll off the tongue though does it? Winner winner, beef and potato dinner? Pretty confident I'd be tongue-tied and end up saying something very different and probably make everything awkward. Well, awkwarder than usual which is saying a lot. Anyway. The winners of District Fine Arts has been announced and we would like to congratulate each of you. This competition not only took time out of your lives, but it took determination and by the looks of it, some of you have been given an immense amount of talent from God. (I'm going to need your autographs please and t...

JV & Varsity Basketball 2/10 Lancaster Christian, Home, VG - 4:30, VB - 6:00 2/11 Westminster Academy, Away, VG - 4:30-VB - 6:00 2/12 Central, Away, JVG - 10:00, JVB - 11:00, VG - 12:00, VB - 1:30 2/14-2/19 TSIAA Varsity Playoff Week 2/17-2/19 JV State Basketball Tournament time is running out... It has begun. We said that it would, and it most definitely has. Re-enrollment for next school year is a thing and it's going on right now. (What in the world?! How did we get to this point already?! School just started, for crying out loud!) Parents, if you want to enroll your current student for next year, now is the time to do it. Seriously. This is not something you want to procrastinate about. Do it. Today. Or tomorrow. But don't wait, because Tuesday of next week (the 15th) is when current FRCS families can enroll their other children not currently enrolled. Which could, if you think about it, take up all the available spots where we don't even get a chance to open en...

Do you love being able to sit in your nice warm house in the evening, curled up with a book in one hand, a cat on your lap, and hot chocolate in the other? Ok, ok, enough of the negative cat talk. (I don't go around dissing opossums or squirrels because I almost hit a mailbox trying not to hit one, so please. I don't want to hear it regarding cats. I cannot help it if you are heartless and cold. You know who you are. {MK}Thank you.) While being an avid book reader can help chase the dull, cold winter days away, (there's ...

You have to deal with games, practices, dinners, family situations, traffic, and well, just life in general. And we know that things can get pretty hectic. Sometimes even pull your hair out hectic. (I do not recommend this strategy for bald people. Actually I don't recommend it at all. It's rather painful.) So to help us all out - you, your students, the kitchen staff, me...all of us... - I highly recommend setting an alarm or reminder on your phone to put lunches in every week before Sunday night at 11:59. Yes. I sai...

Cross Country 8/16 - MS & Varsity, Siegel High, Away, 6:00  Golf 8/18 - Varsity, Merrol Hyde, Away, 3:30 Volleyball 8/18 - Varsity, Lancaster, Home, 5:00 Patience...patience...patience I don't know if you noticed it or not, but it seems like this past summer just sped by like it was on two wheels. It felt like it barely even started before it was already over. But, no use crying over the inevitable. School had to restart so right now seems like as good a time as any. So welcome back to the returning students - we missed you. School just isn't the same when y'all aren't here. And welcome to the new students - we cannot wait to make your acquaintance and get to know you better. I hope your week - and your student's week - was excellent. If it wasn't, well, I hope it was mostly good. Of course, there were some kinks along the way and that elementary secretary seemed a little scratchy at times (I'm so very sorry. I hate being scratchy and I am determined t...

Voucher Time 5/15 12:00 noon No, it is not Thursday. No I have not lost my mind (fooled you!), and no. I'm not trying to rush things. Just wanted to send out this week's Parent Page today (Wednesday) to give everyone a quick reminder that... Tomorrow is the day the EFS applications roll-out. 12:00 noon is the time, so please, have all your documents uploaded and stored on your computer for ease of access because as soon as the clock tolls 12, things may get congested and a little bit laggish. Good luck and we wish you the best.  Oh yea. Here's the link. So Many Things, 5/17-5/23 I apologize in advance for the length of this week's Parent Page. It's a whopper but I'm positive you want to know all the things so I'll try my hardest to use bullet points to help navigate upcoming activities. 5/17 - MS Awards, 6:00 pm church auditorium 5/19 - 6th Grade Banquet & Graduation, 6:00 5/20 - K5 Play, Graduation, and Elementary Awards (1st-5th grades), 6:00 church ...
