Seniors - Just a Note It just hit me. Hard. These kiddos - yes these ones. The students that I have seen and dealt with for the past six years are done. They're not coming back. And while I'm happy for them, I'm sad for myself. What felt like endless days of high school are now over for you.You don't get to go back and do over. What you've done is done and cannot be changed. Those mistakes that still make you cringe? Done. Over. That one time when you and your best friend laughed so hard your sides hurt? It's a memory now - something that you will cherish for the rest of your life. But it too is done. You will make more mistakes and you will laugh again, but it will be different - no two days are alike. If I could tell you one thing before you leave these halls just a little emptier - a little sadder - live your life with the knowledge that you will never get to do today again. Don't rush your life away. Embrace the good times, and pray your heart out over t...

Voucher Time 5/15 12:00 noon No, it is not Thursday. No I have not lost my mind (fooled you!), and no. I'm not trying to rush things. Just wanted to send out this week's Parent Page today (Wednesday) to give everyone a quick reminder that... Tomorrow is the day the EFS applications roll-out. 12:00 noon is the time, so please, have all your documents uploaded and stored on your computer for ease of access because as soon as the clock tolls 12, things may get congested and a little bit laggish. Good luck and we wish you the best.  Oh yea. Here's the link. So Many Things, 5/17-5/23 I apologize in advance for the length of this week's Parent Page.   TSIAA Tournaments, 5/5-5/10 Elementary Fun Day, 5/9 Just a quick reminder that the Walkathon Elementary Fun Day has been changed to tomorrow, May 9th. So if your preschooler through 6th grader raised $50, they will be able to participate in the 2 hour carnival and if they raised $100, they will be allowed to participate in the fun for 4 hours. Which means they should sleep really really well Friday night and let you sleep in on Saturday. Maybe. Unless they're anything like I was growing up. I didn't start sleeping through the night until I was eleven...Yes. I, too, wonder how I survived to adulthood. Merit Day, 5/13 If your 7th-11th grader comes home and says that they don't have to go to school on the 13th of next week, they may be telling the truth. If your 7th-11th grader has less  than 10 demerits for the 2nd semester, they do not have to attend school on the 13th.  So if they're close, you can use that as a motivational tool to keep them super focused. I mean, wh...

It felt like it barely even started before it was already over. But, no use crying over the inevitable. School had to restart so right now seems like as good a time as any. So welcome back to the returning students - we missed you. School just isn't the same when y'all aren't here. And welcome to the new students - we cannot wait to make your acquaintance and get to know you better. I hope your week - and your student's week - was excellent. If it wasn't, well, I hope it was mostly good. Of course, there were some kinks along the way and that elementary secretary seemed a little scratchy at times (I'm so very sorry. I hate being scratchy and I am determined t...
