Fall Tent Revival, 9/13-9/18
It's here and we're kicking things off with a bang! Men and boys, brothers and male cousins, you're invited to our first Men's Leadership Night at 6:00. There will be wings. (I'm assuming this does not mean the Detroit Red Wings. Probably chicken wings. Maybe.) There will be activities. I don't know what those activities will be but I'd be willing to bet it'll be a fun time of food, friends, and fellowship. Starts at 6:00.
Saturday, bring your kiddos to the grounds and let them wear themselves out on the inflatables (starts at 3:00) then feed them Dinner on the Grounds at 5:00 (no, not on the actual dirt. You know what I mean) then let the singing and prayers begin at the pavilion at 6:45.
Sunday the fun begins at 10:00 for our LifeStage Classes (all ages from the young to the old), 11:00 morning worship then back again at 6:15 that evening for singing and prayer at the pavilion.
Monday through Wednesday, each night, things will begin at 6:45 with singing and prayer at the pavilion and onward to the evening services which will start at 7:00 pm.
Not sure what to do with the kiddos? Bring them along! Each night there will be classes for all ages and everyone will feel revived and refreshed. Or at least ready to tackle the next day.
Grandparent's Day Recap
Thank you so much for joining us as we celebrated Grandparents Day last Friday. It was such a special day - it's truly one of my favorites. So many smiles, so many happy kiddos and grandparents. It was a blessing and we enjoyed having you here.
If you weren't able to attend this year's Grandparents Day program, there's no need to grind your teeth, moan and groan, and be in a bad mood. While we wish you could have made it in person, we know that sometimes that's just not possible. Sometimes life gets in the way.
So we saved it for you.
Want to see it? Click this link. You can watch it again, record it on your phone, invite friends over and force them to watch it as well, or save the link and put it in all the Christmas cards you send out this year. Or whatever floats your boat and makes you smile. For real. Here you go. Enjoy!
Lost and Found, 9/11-9/13
Ok look. I know we changed the date of the lost & found sale because of Grandparents Day, but it's getting kind of scary, so we need an intervention before a small child gets lost in those bins. Lost and found sale, this Wednesday through Friday. Come check the tables, there's no telling what you'll find. Could be a hair brush, could be that one shoe you've misplaced for a year, it could be your lunch box, or even your Grammar book. Seriously. You're going to want to check it out.
Everything's $1.
Brownie Sundaes Are Back! 9/20
Seniors are at it again and trust me, your child is going to want to partake. Seniors will be hosting their first Brownie Sundae sale next Friday, September 20th. Cost is $2 and they will have many choices of toppings.
Unfortunately, because this is a fundraiser for the Senior class, we won't be able to charge your account. Cash only, so raid those couch cushions! See you there!

New Classes at FRCS
This year, FRCS has instituted a few new classes to our repertoire of studies. No, it's not yodeling for beginners, nor is it basket weaving for the mentally challenged (I saw that look you gave me), but they're really interesting.
Let me introduce you.
- Bible Quiz - I would have taken this class if I had had the opportunity in high school. This class is where 7th-12th graders get to test out their Bible prowress. See if they can answer those tough questions like, who Ahithophel was and a little about his past. Which is very interesting. And! They memorize entire chapters - pretty impressive, right?!
- Anatomy & Physiology - if your Junior or Senior is thinking they might be interested in pursuing a job in the medical field, this class would be the one to try first. Before you spend $50,000 on college and find out they hate it. Or they could love it. For real, this is a great opportunity for students to expand their knowledge and learn in a Christ-centered environment.
- Life Management - you ever look at your Junior or Senior and wonder how they're going to make it on their own? You've tried and tried and tried to teach them how life is going to be on the outside but something just isn't connecting. If you can see the words going in one ear and out the other, then this class is for them. Adulting can be hard. But it doesn't have to be impossible. This class helps prepare students for life after high school, whether they go on to college or not. Things like, paying bills on time, doing their own laundry, cleaning their house before mom comes over. You know. Life things that they don't want to learn from you. Jk. They probably do, they just didn't hear you because you didn't repeat it fourteen times in a row. ;)

Don't Do This. Seriously. Don't.
I know everyone has their favorite way to get home or work after dropping your kids off at school. I myself have been known to go out of my way to go my normal route. Yes, it could be an old lady thing, but don't push your luck and actually say that to me. I may not have had enough coffee and I may not take it well. (JK!!!!!)
If you are trying to turn left out of our parking lot and you are not at a light, we are asking you to stop doing that. It's dangerous. Which means, please do not turn left onto Old Fort Pkwy unless you are sitting at the light at Gresham Lane. It's a madhouse out there. Be safe!
Sports Corner... Give it up to the Varsity Girls Volleyball team for taking 1st place at last Saturday's NACA Tournament at Welch College! That means the stats for Varsity is currently sitting at 27-4. How awesome is that?
And when you see Gracie Tidwell, Emma Dugger, and Kylie Ward? Tell them congratulations for making All Tournament. :)
