Walkathon Fun Day, 5/10

It's tomorrow and I'm going to give you the deets so pay attention. If your Preschooler through 6th grader has qualified to participate in Fun Dayy ($50 for 2-hours and $100 for 4-hours) they may come to school in PE shorts. They will have fun. There will be smiles, laughing, and tired children (hopefully) at the end of the day on Friday.

Parents, you are welcome to share this fun day with your student. Here's the jumping schedule:

  • 8:05-9:30 Preschool
  • 9:00-11:00 K5, 1st, 2nd grade
  • 10:00-12:00 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade
  • 12:00-2:00 Preschool, K5, 1st, 2nd grade
  • 12:45-2:45 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade

Spiritwear Sale

The Spiritwear Sale is still in effect so if you didn't get a chance to peruse the tables and stock up for next year, you're in luck. Swing by and see what you can get for 50% off.

PS - there will be a few yearbooks out there as well for $10. That alone is worth coming inside for.

Senior Class Trip, 5/13-5/17

The Senior Class is nearly done - their days are numbered. Lives are about to change. A chapter is ending and a new one is beginning. It's their turn to finish up exams and put down their pencils. Some will go to college and some to tech school. Perhaps the military is calling their name. I cannot say for certain as each senior must make those decisions for themselves, but I can say with all sincerity, I will miss them.

So Seniors, take these last few days as slowly as you can and make as many memories as possible. You won't get these days back. Today is today and there is no rewind button. You might not believe it, but these will one day be the good ole days.

Make them special and know that we who are left behind will miss you.

Secondary Exam Schedule, 5/20-5/23

For those of you who like to be prepared or are furiously studying and need to know what day to place the appropriate panic on, here's the Exam schedule. If you raised $50 for Walkathon you will get a 1-day exam pass to use on one of those days, and if you raised $100 you will get a 3-day exam pass to use.

Gala

If you haven't gotten your Gala tickets yet, you'll want to do it quickly before someone else sits with your bestie. On sale now in the high school office.

Merit Day, 5/14

Once again, Merit Day is May 14th. If your 7th-11th grader has less than 10 demerits, they do not have to come to school that day. :) Notice I did not mention 12th graders. That's because they will be in Florida on their Senior Trip. I'm so jealous.

Teacher Appreciation Week, 5/6-5/10

It's the last 2 days of the week. Remember, there are note cards in the gym lobby for you to send your teacher a note. Sometimes it's the simple things that make a rough day better.

You have to deal with games, practices, dinners, family situations, traffic, and well, just life in general. And we know that things can get pretty hectic. Sometimes even pull your hair out hectic. (I do not recommend this strategy for bald people. Actually I don't recommend it at all. It's rather painful.) So to help us all out - you, your students, the kitchen staff, me...all of us... - I highly recommend setting an alarm or reminder on your phone to put lunches in every week before Sunday night at 11:59. Yes. I sai...

It felt like it barely even started before it was already over. But, no use crying over the inevitable. School had to restart so right now seems like as good a time as any. So welcome back to the returning students - we missed you. School just isn't the same when y'all aren't here. And welcome to the new students - we cannot wait to make your acquaintance and get to know you better. I hope your week - and your student's week - was excellent. If it wasn't, well, I hope it was mostly good. Of course, there were some kinks along the way and that elementary secretary seemed a little scratchy at times (I'm so very sorry. I hate being scratchy and I am determined t...

Voucher Time 5/15 12:00 noon No, it is not Thursday. No I have not lost my mind (fooled you!), and no. I'm not trying to rush things. Just wanted to send out this week's Parent Page today (Wednesday) to give everyone a quick reminder that... Tomorrow is the day the EFS applications roll-out. 12:00 noon is the time, so please, have all your documents uploaded and stored on your computer for ease of access because as soon as the clock tolls 12, things may get congested and a little bit laggish. Good luck and we wish you the best.  Oh yea. Here's the link. So Many Things, 5/17-5/23 I apologize in advance for the length of this week's Parent Page. It's a whopper but I'm positive you want to know all the things so I'll try my hardest to use bullet points to help navigate upcoming activities. 5/17 - MS Awards, 6:00 pm church auditorium 5/19 - 6th Grade Banquet & Graduation, 6:00 5/20 - K5 Play, Graduation, and Elementary Awards (1st-5th grades), 6:00 church ...
