Join us March 18th at 7 pm in the church auditorium as our students show you what they've been working on for Fine Arts. Doors open at 6:30. Here's the line up:

  • SH Ensemble

  • SH Brass Quintet
  • Concert Band
  • MS Choir

  • Elementary Band
  • Elementary Handbell Choir
  • Elementary Choir

TACS State Fine Arts Competition, 3/21-3/22

If your student is participating in this year's Fine Arts Competition, they need to be in their spots at the correct time. Please see the schedule below. What an exciting time - I cannot wait to see the outcome!

Remember:

  • There will be no school for K5-2nd graders 3/21 & 3/22
  • Preschool will be open and there will be late stay.
  • 3rd-12th graders who ARE COMPETING are required to be in their spot at their scheduled time
  • 3rd - 12th graders who ARE NOT competing are NOT required to come to school
On that note, if you entered some sort of art into competition and it did not place 1st or 2nd, you may pick it up in the office and take it home.

Spring Break, 3/25-3/29

I don't know about you, but this year that whole spring forward thing completely caught me off guard. It'll take me a week to recover. Anyway, please remember that there is no school-preschool through 12th grade-from March 25th - March 29th. This means there will be no school lunches, no tests nor quizzes, no homework, and no latestay.

Easter at FRBC, 3/31

Easter is March 31st - what a terrific way to end spring break! Join us Sunday, March 31st at 10:30 for worship services while your kiddos hunt for candy with Kids Church. It promises to be an exciting day all around - and we want to share it with you and yours.

Achievement Testing, 4/1-4/4

...and after all that candy hunting (please see above article), Achievement Testing will be Monday through Thursday. Please eat a good breakfast, bring a snack, and be prepared to excel. FYI - there are no excused absences that week.

Elementary Field Day, 4/5

I'm convinced this was planned to follow achievement testing just so all those kids could go berserk in a controlled, outside environment. Genius, actually.

  • Elementary Field Day will be April 5th
  • In case of rain - it will be moved to April 8th
  • lunch is provided by 6th grade - funds are used for their graduation
  • Just Love Coffee and Van Horn Cookies will be available for cash purchases as well (SO very stoked for this! If you can't find me in the office, look for me in line for cookies and coffee)
  • lunch must be ordered in advance - please see flyer below. Orders are DUE April 3rd

I didn't see very many wet eyes Monday morning, I didn't hear screaming and gnashing of teeth (yes, I'm talking about parents), and I didn't have a bunch of kiddos in my office asking for medicine at 8:05. I'd say that was a win win and another win for the start of a new school year! But, as with anything new, it can take just a little bit to settle into a routine. And ...
