FRCS Enrollment
Please don't delay. If you're planning on staying here at FRCS, please get your enrollment fees in as soon as possible. Space is limited and we really don't want anyone to miss out. Enrollment opens to the public March 1st.
End of 3rd Quarter, 3/8
It's seriously right around the corner. The end of the 3rd quarter. If you have any missed homework, and unfinished quizzes or tests, you want to get them done now. Turn them in. Make your teacher and parents happy. Get a better grade because we all know that 0's take the grade wayyy down. We don't want that. Let's sail into the 4th quarter with no worries and a bright, happy future.
You can do it.

Sportsman's Night, 3/9
Looking for something special to make some great memories with your family, join us March 9th for our annual Sportsman's Night with the Chad Shearer family of Shoot Straight TV. Doors open at 2 pm. There will be axe throwing (this is pretty fun, if I'm being honest), Archery Shooting, Rock Wall Climbing, and more.
If that's not enough to tempt you, there will be samples of wild game for you to tempt your palate, and some pretty awesome giveaways, like hunting/fishing gear, a compound bow, and even two muzzleloaders.
Get your tickets here! (Meal is included with every ticket.)
Spring Sports Forms
Do you realize how close we are to spring? If your student is going to play or try out for any spring sports, please make sure we have a current sports physical on file. If they made a team, we will need all the necessary forms (2 consent forms, Sudden Cardiac Arrest form, and the Athletic Handbook form) turned in before the first game. If you're not sure what we have on file, give us a call and we will let you know.

Nancy Green
You may not be familiar with the name 'Nancy Green', but I'd be awfully surprised if she hadn't at one time or another been in your kitchen. Nancy Green portrayed the famous Aunt Jemima of the pancake mix sold by the Pearl Milling Company.
There are quite a few mixed stories surrounding Nancy Green. Some say she was the woman who invented the self-rising pancake mix while other refute that claim and accredit that honor to the Pearl Milling Company itself in 1889.
With so many conflicting stories, it's difficult to say which is truth and which is fiction. What we do know is:
- Nancy Green was a former slave
- She was the first to portray Aunt Jemima
- She debuted at the Chicago World's Fair in 1893
- At that debut, she sold a whopping 50,000 pancake mixes
- That fair included other notable figures such as: Frederick Douglass, George Washington Carver, Edmonia Lewis, and Joan Imogene Howard
- As a member of Olivet Baptist Church in Chicago, she shielded escaped slaves from slave hunters
- Unfortunately, Nancy Green was killed by a car at the age of 89 but not before securing her legacy in America's history
