Re-enrollment
The time has come. Re-enrollment for next year will open to current FRCS families/students on February 1st. Non-enrolled siblings are eligible to enroll February 15th. Here's the deal.
Every year, we send out packets for re-enrollment, and people get those back into the office rather quickly. But then they forget to pay the registration fee of $400 to secure their student's spot until the end of the month. Not a good idea. Many people have already pre-paid for their non-enrolled student's sibling and spots are given in the order of payment received.
Please, I beg you, get your registration fees turned into the office as soon as possible. You do not have to wait until February 1st. If you turn the money in now, it won't go into effect until the allotted time, but spots are filled in the order of payment received.
Here's an example:
- Sally, a current student going into 3rd grade, fills out the registration form on February 1st and turns it in without money.
- Tom, a current student going into 3rd grade, fills out the paperwork and turns in the fee.
- Georgiana, Tom's twin sister going into 3rd grade, fills out an application, and turns the form in with her money on February 1st. She holds her breath and crosses her fingers hoping for a spot on the 15th.
February 15th rolls around and here's what happens:- Tom gets a spot in 3rd grade. He's happy.
- Georgiana gets a spot in 3rd grade. She's happy. Her parents are happy. Even the dog is happy.
- Sally loses her spot because she waited until February 17th to turn in her fee. She's not happy. Her parents call the school and fuss, they cry, they complain, I feel bad, Mrs. Anderson feels bad, Mr. Kramer feels bad, but still. Sally doesn't get a spot because we cannot oompf people out at will.
Please please PLEASE. If you don't read anything else in this parent page, read the article above.
Re-enrollment packets will be coming home in PreK - 6th grade folders next week. Junior and Senior high packets will be mailed so please be on the lookout for them.

Thank You For Understanding
I cannot be the only one who appreciates having this past week off. It was definitely not expected, but I believe it was the right thing to do.
Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we navigated the weather this week. We understand that all of you were devastated to receive those Parent Alerts, but driving in this weather is not recommended for the faint of heart. Like me. Plus. I've seen how people drive. I'm not naming names, but let's face it. There are a lot of people lacking basic skills. (Blinkers are your friend, and it's helpful to turn your head and check for cars before jerking into another lane on i24 without warning. But I digress.)
School will resume next week at our normal times and schedules.

Drop Off/Pick UP
Just a reminder that if you're dropping off a student, we need you to either go through the drop off line or actually park and let your student walk in. Please DO NOT park/idle/stand/or block the sidewalk/walkway. We really need your help with this. If everyone were to just park/idle/stand or block wherever they wanted on campus, things would be a lot more hectic and willy nilly. And we're not the type of school that embraces the willy nilly side of life. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
