Report Cards Coming, 1/11

It hit me this morning. Smacked me right in the face. We are in the 3rd quarter of this school year. My mind is officially boggled. (Not that anyone would notice., if we're being honest here. I believe it comes naturally for me but I digress.) Report cards are coming home today. K5-6th grades will be paper (please sign the manilla envelope and send it back into the teacher) and 7th-12th grade report cards will be emailed a link. Be on the lookout.

Homecoming, 1/13 10:00 am

If attending an FRCS basketball game is on your list of things to do, this Saturday would be an excellent day to do so. Festivities start at 10 am with Alumni recognition followed by all the games. All of them. MSG, MSB, JVB, VG, and VB will be playing against Franklin Christian so come out and cheer our teams on to victory!

Oh yea, this year's theme? Enchanted Garden. That alone will be worth coming out to see, I kid you not. Seniors and their parents come out and completely transform the gym into a magical place. It's pretty cool.

Parent/Teacher Conference, 1/15

I know you read that we're now officially in the 3rd quarter, right? (If you forgot to read it, go ahead. It's up there. I'll wait.) If you feel that your student(s) could do better, or you don't understand something, or you'd just like to check in with their teacher, please reach out and schedule a conference with them on the 15th. Help us make the rest of this school year a homerun!

Drop Off/Pick UP

Just a reminder that if you're dropping off a student, we need you to either go through the drop off line or actually park and let your student walk in. Please DO NOT park/idle/stand/or block the sidewalk/walkway. We really need your help with this. If everyone were to just park/idle/stand or block wherever they wanted on campus, things would be a lot more hectic and willy nilly. And we're not the type of school that embraces the willy nilly side of life. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Thank Yous

I know that Christmas is 'so yesterday's news' but we wanted to thank you again for making this years Christmas project a huge success.

And speaking of thank you's, we want to extend a very heartfelt and appreciated thank you to everyone who came out, gave, bought a t-shirt and basically let Mrs. Kramer know she's special to us and in your prayers. I know it meant a lot and they felt the love. You all really are a tremendous blessing to us here at FRCS.

Re-enrollment Begins

It has begun. People have been coming in left and right to enroll for next year, and I'm going to beg you. If you plan on coming back here in the fall, please pay that registration before all the spaces are gone.

  • January 1st - Preschool open enrollment began
  • February 1-14 is priority enrollment for current school families
  • February 15-29 enrollment opens for siblings of current school students who are not currently enrolled
  • March 1st - enrollment opens to the community

Now that you have the dates, here's the super important stuff. We will not assume that you want to re-enroll even if you fill out the re-enrollment application. We won't save a spot unless we receive your registration fee of $400.

Please don't put this off. Every year someone loses their spot because they didn't get their money in on time and it seriously wrecks my day. We don't want that.

Coming Up Next...

  • 1/13 - Homecoming
  • 1/15 - No School - Parent/Teacher Conference
  • 1/16-1/17 - Spring Portraits
  • 2/1 - Re-Enrollment for FRCS families
  • 2/15 - Enrollment opens for non-FRCS enrolled siblings
  • 2/19 - No School - Presidents' Day
  • 3/1 - Enrollment opens to the community

I didn't see very many wet eyes Monday morning, I didn't hear screaming and gnashing of teeth (yes, I'm talking about parents), and I didn't have a bunch of kiddos in my office asking for medicine at 8:05. I'd say that was a win win and another win for the start of a new school year! But, as with anything new, it can take just a little bit to settle into a routine. And ...
