Missions Conference, 11/12-11/15

Next week, November 13 - 15, we will host our annual Missions Conference here at FRCS. During the day, Missionaries will be preaching during chapel services as well as visiting preschool through 6th grade classes, giving students a chance to ask questions and get to know them better. Feel free to join us for chapel this week as we encourage those whom God has called to go abroad and share the good news of Jesus.

Monday - 9:45 HS chapel
Tuesday - 8:15 Elementary chapel, K5-2nd grades; 9:45 - HS chapel
Wednesday - 8:15 Upper Elementary 3rd-6th grades; 9:45 - HS chapel

Plan to come and see what God is doing in lives today.

Class Photos & Picture Retakes, 11/13

This is your last chance. Your last official, written warning that if you were not prepared to have your picture taken earlier this year, this is the day to make it all better. Class Photos and Picture Retakes are November 13th. Please plan accordingly.

  • Preschool classes will have their photos taken by 9 am. Please don't be late.

Thanksgiving Luncheon, 11/21

Thanksgiving Luncheon tickets are now on sale! Stop by the elementary office and see Mrs. Lawwell to get your tickets before it's too late. Remember, preschool through 6th graders are encouraged to dress up like Indians and pilgrims in honor of this special time.

Students are allowed to leave after the Luncheon, but we will need to know in advance. So send us a note or, better yet, fill out the form below noting your intentions for that day and turn into the elementary office.

  • 4th grade and older - tickets are $10
  • 3rd grade and younger - tickets are $8
  • 2 years and younger - free

Please note: everyone who wants to eat Thanksgiving supper will need to order a plate or purchase a ticket. Including students.

Half Day, 11/22

Wednesday, November 22nd, will be early dismissal. Which means 11:30. There will be no late stay because there is family to prepare for.

Thanksgiving Break, 11/23-11/24

I know it's going to hurt your feelings, but there will be no school Thursday and Friday. I'm sorry but you're going to have to toughen up a little. ;') (I jest.) Enjoy this time with your family and make lots of wonderful memories! These days are flying by - wasn't yesterday the first day of school?!

Lunch Reminder!

Please remember to put your student's lunches in by Sunday evening before 11:59 for the upcoming week. This helps our amazing kitchen staff prepare enough food for all who would like a hot lunch. Should your weekends be crazy busy, (trust me, we understand the busy), you may preorder lunches weeks in advance. You are not charged for lunches until your student receives them.

I hope this helps answer your questions. :)

Flash Sale - Going On Now!

Spiritwear is 15% off Thursday and Friday. (Well, Wednesday too, but no matter how hard you try, you can't turn back time. So it's a moot point.) Come see what you need and we have while you don't but once you purchase it, you will. (Say that fast ten times and record it please. I want to hear it.)

I didn't see very many wet eyes Monday morning, I didn't hear screaming and gnashing of teeth (yes, I'm talking about parents), and I didn't have a bunch of kiddos in my office asking for medicine at 8:05. I'd say that was a win win and another win for the start of a new school year! But, as with anything new, it can take just a little bit to settle into a routine. And ...
