Abby Candles, October 13th

If you haven't yet had a chance to look through the Abby Candles sales flyer, the absolute last day to turn in your order is Friday, October 13th. All proceeds go toward sponsoring the Junior Class's 2024 trip to Washington D.C. You are not required to participate (we won't even guilt you) but the Junior Class thanks all who order.

Don't have a flyer? Just go to this link, look through the catalog, if there's something you need/want/desire, fill out the appropriate information and wham. You're good to go. If you're asked for a seller id, you can use 73939. Organization is Franklin Road Christian School Jr Class.

Quarter Ends, October 13th

The end draweth nigh. Of the 1st quarter, that is. Which means several things. If you still have missing homework, missing quizzes, missing tests, you really want to get those completed before the cut off date. There's really no reason to get a zero when it could be avoided.

1st Report Card Comes Home, October 19th

The end of the 1st Quarter ushers in the 1st report card of the year - which will be coming home October 19th. Here's the trick: If your student is in K5-6th grade, (K means Kindergarten), they will get a paper copy in a nice manilla envelope. Just sign the sticker on the outside of the envelope, take the report card out and frame it, scrapbook it, send to grandparents, or possibly use as blackmail later on, and return the envelope to school please. It will be used for the next 3 report cards. :)

Parent Teacher Conferences, October 23rd

Have you scheduled a meeting with your student's teacher yet? This is an excellent opportunity for you and the teacher to have quality one on one time to discuss necessary things. Things like, what the student needs to work on, what your concerns are as a parent, what the teacher's concerns are, maybe even what kind of winter weather you think we're going to have. Whatever floats your boat. We just don't want you to miss this important time for you both to get a game plan and how to successfully navigate this year.

Lost & Found, October 25th-27th

It's next week, which makes this the last warning for this month: Next Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, there will be a lost & found sale. Once the items hit the tables in front of my office, everything is $1 and anyone can purchase whatever it is they see and desire to have. This includes and is not limited to: shoes, belts, pants, lunchboxes, etc. All of it. So if you've lost something, come dig through the bins and see what's yours before it's too late or it costs you $1 to get it back.

Don't Forget

Yes! It's starting to look and feel like fall. There for a minute I thought we were in for a really warm winter - which would be dreadful. My opinion only, of course. Anyway, with temperatures fluctuating between hot, warm, cold, and kind of tepid, we do ask that you send a covering of some sort. Jacket. Coat. Sweater. Crocheted blanket. (Not really though.) Whatever as long as it will cover them and help them stay warm when they go outside to play.

PCC Tournament Results

They're back, and we're very proud of our soccer and volleyball teams. Soccer ended up in 7th place, and Volleyball took 2nd. Grace Tidwell, Allie Lowhorn, and Maddox Robertson made All-Tournament.
