Congratulations!

This year's Homecoming celebrations were knocked out of the park!  Live music, beautiful dresses and handsome tuxes, and a complete shutout in the games? Can you even beat that?! I always thought the bar was high before, but this year's Senior class has raised it a few notches.

When you get a chance, please remember to congratulate Brooke Barnes for being voted Homecoming Queen, 2023! Brooke, (and the rest of the Senior class) we hope the rest of this year is just as wonderful and we look forward to seeing what God does with your future. Congratulations!

Parent Teacher Conferences, January 16th

There is no school January 16th.

There is no late stay January 16th.

There is only Parent Teacher Conferences here at FRCS. So if you park your car, we're going to assume you've emailed and made arrangements with your child's teacher for a meeting and we will be on high alert and try to have all the necessary paperwork and thoughts ready for you.

If you haven't made an appointment yet, please do so today. We look forward to speaking with you!

Pancake Breakfast, January 23rd

There will be a Pancake Breakfast January 23rd here in the Commons. Come eat the most delicious pancakes in Middle Tennessee and ensure that your child has begun their day in the best way possible.

Goodness Gracious will be serving pancakes January 23rd and let me tell you. You do not want to miss this. You don't. They're amazing. Doors open at 7:20.

100 Day Parade, January 27th

Preschool through 1st grade will be marching through our hallways, their heads held high, and tossing candy at people January 27th. If you want to see the cutest parade ever, and I do mean ever, or if you just want a sweet for your sweet tooth, make sure you're here by 9 am lined up and waiting.

If you're late, we cannot guarantee you a piece of candy. Well, we can't guarantee that anyway as I believe that some of these kids kind of freak out and throw the candy aside as a way of protection. I mean let's face it. The whole school is watching plus family? Yea. I'd throw all my candy as far away as possible the first chance I got.

But that's just me.

Again. January 27th at 9:00 am. (Because 9:00 pm, no one will be here.)

Winners of Local Competitions

And the moment you've been waiting for. The list of winners that will be advancing to the next step in Fine Arts. We had a bunch of students give their best and we would like to thank each and every one of them for trying out. It was definitely tough to choose!

101 Random

  • Which one is true: Dogs only see yellow, blue and gray...or the color red makes bulls angry. Dogs only see yellow, blue and gray.
  • Justin has a vacation house that is positioned in such a way that all four sides face south. How is this possible? His vacation house, because he has issues, was at the North Pole.
  • And lastly, what is the product of the following series: (X-A)x(X-B)x(X-C)x(X-D)...(X-Z) This was a super easy one. I was kinda disappointed because no one answered, though. Obviously, the answer will be zero because at one point, you will have to multiply X by itself which is zero.
  • What do you call a rooster staring at a pile of lettuce? A chicken sees a salad
  • What's the leading cause of dry skin? Towels.
  • I heard that a man was suing smart water for not making him smart. I'm thinking about following suit against Thin Mints. I mean, that's definitely false advertising.
  • And last of our delightful Dad Jokes, What's the difference between Iron Man & Aluminum Man? Iron Man stops the bad guys. Aluminum Man just foils their plans.

I didn't see very many wet eyes Monday morning, I didn't hear screaming and gnashing of teeth (yes, I'm talking about parents), and I didn't have a bunch of kiddos in my office asking for medicine at 8:05. I'd say that was a win win and another win for the start of a new school year! But, as with anything new, it can take just a little bit to settle into a routine. And ...
