Thanksgiving Luncheon, Tuesday 11am-1pm

Just a super friendly reminder that if you want your child to eat at the school Tuesday (Thanksgiving Luncheon) you need to order either online via RenWeb or you can pick up tickets here at the office. You know what? I'll even take it a step further. If you'd like to order Thanksgiving Luncheon tickets for the family, email me how many and what grade/age, (please include your student's name. That helps me immensely. Unless you want me to work on my private investigator skills. Then by all means, leave it out) and I'll do it for you. We'd really hate to not have enough food for everyone. Because you know. There was a turkey shortage not too long ago. And hot dogs and stuffing just don't sound like they go together.

Oh yes. If your student is eating, you need to order their lunch as well. You know. Make sure we have enough food kinda thing again.

Brownie Sundae This Friday

Yes. It's this week. Look, I'm doing my best to let you know that you have the potential to either make your kid's day or...well...not. This Friday, as in tomorrow, we are having another Brownie Sundae. Chocolatey gooey-goodness that will make them smile for hours to come. All for only $1. It's not everyone that can attain hero status with so little.

Thanksgiving Break 11/23-11/25

Please pay close attention to this section of the parent page. As you know, Tuesday is the Thanksgiving Luncheon, but do you remember the details about the rest of the week? No? Let me tell you.

  • Wednesday, we will have a half day. As in, we dismiss at 11:30 and there will be no late stay
  • Thursday, there is no school and there will be no late stay
  • Friday, there is no school and there will be no late stay

I realize that this should be obvious, but I'm going to be very honest here. I have had people ask if there will be school and late stay on all of those days. You know who you are...  ;)

Christmas Programs!

Tis the Season and we're going to start it out with a bang. Coming December 1st at 7 pm, the Middle School and High School will be wowing you with all kinds of lovely Christmasy things that will touch your heart and thrill your little soul. And then? On December 6th at 7pm, our Elementary students will be presenting "From the Manger to the Cross" and I've been told that it's supposed to be awesome. Come to both to see which you think was better...or come to both to help you get in the Christmas spirit and knock the Grinch right out of you. Or don't come to both. It's completely up to you. I won't judge you. Well...maybe.

Christmas Project

This year, FRCS will be raising money to help Triple S Christian Camp build a new cabin. Which is pretty cool. If you'd like to contribute to this worthy project and be a blessing to kids for years to come, you can send your donation to your child's teacher or drop it off here in the office. Whichever works best for you, and we thank you in advance for your contribution. If you can't contribute, we thank you for being you and for being a part of FRCS. We're so glad you're here!

JV Basketball Turkey Jam

Just wanted to give a shoutout to both our JV Girls and JV Boys for placing 1st in last week's Turkey Jam at Lancaster. We're super proud of you all!

No Parent Page

In observance of Thanksgiving next week, there will be no Parent Page sent to you. So please order your lunches Sunday night on RenWeb and look for the next parent page to hit your mailbox December 1st. Happy Thanksgiving!

  • So guess what? Be excited for me. Today, I broke my personal record for most consecutive days lived. Go me!
  • Did you know that when you type a text in all caps, your autocorrect will not correct anything because your phone assumes you're mad and doesn't want to get involved.
  • Speaking of texting. I think you should be extremely grateful for how texting works now. In my day, you had to work for it. I mean, if you needed the letter 's', you had to really want it and press that 7 button four times before you got an 's'. True story. Life was hard back then. I almost died.
  • So I read that bananas, those yellow long fruits, glow a brilliant blue under a black light. Please. If you have a black light, would you please test this out and get back to me? I want to know if this is true. Thanks in advance.
  • Are you a tennis buff? If you are, you'll be interested to know that Wimbledon keeps their tennis balls at a cool 68 degrees and they use 50,000 in one year. It's probably a good thing that I'm not a tennis buff. Fairly confident it'd kill my dog to chase that many tennis balls and I like my dog.

Voucher Time 5/15 12:00 noon No, it is not Thursday. No I have not lost my mind (fooled you!), and no. I'm not trying to rush things. Just wanted to send out this week's Parent Page today (Wednesday) to give everyone a quick reminder that... Tomorrow is the day the EFS applications roll-out. 12:00 noon is the time, so please, have all your documents uploaded and stored on your computer for ease of access because as soon as the clock tolls 12, things may get congested and a little bit laggish. Good luck and we wish you the best.  Oh yea. Here's the link. So Many Things, 5/17-5/23 I apologize in advance for the length of this week's Parent Page. I didn't see very many wet eyes Monday morning, I didn't hear screaming and gnashing of teeth (yes, I'm talking about parents), and I didn't have a bunch of kiddos in my office asking for medicine at 8:05. I'd say that was a win win and another win for the start of a new school year! But, as with anything new, it can take just a little bit to settle into a routine. And ...
