Did You Miss Parent Teacher Conferences?
I love this time of year but it definitely can put a damper on things that we need to do. Or get done. Or maybe we don't want to get done and we're forcing ourselves to do it because it needs to be done and it's the right thing to do.
Like Parent Teacher Conferences. It probably wasn't something you wanted to do, maybe you were dreading it. Or maybe you weren't. Whatever your emotions were regarding it, the weather decided to make things interesting and in 2020 fashion, things took a detour.
If you didn't get a chance to meet with your child's teacher(s) and you would like to, please reach out to them and schedule a meeting. Let's give these students the best chance they have to make a great end to their 2021-2022 school year career.
South Haven Tournament Results
From the University of Michigan and Ohio State to the New England Patriots and pretty much everybody, every team has an arch-rival. You know what I'm talking about. That one particular team who grates on your nerves in a good kind of way. The team that has the power to spur another one onto victory because the bragging rights are important. Even if you don't get a trophy of a wooden turtle. (Illibuck, between Ohio State and the University of Illinois.)
South Haven is ours. FRCS did a great job last week, the girls' beat West Florida Baptist Academy, Pleasant View Christian Academy, and South Haven to take the championship, and the boys' played against Temple, Berean Baptist, and West Florida Baptist Academy, claiming the championship as well. How awesome is that?! Way to go y'all!
January 28th at 9 a.m. there will be the cutest parade going on in the halls here at FRCS. It is the day to come celebrate our Preschoolers through 1st graders making it through 100 Days of School.
What can you expect? What should you prepare for?
You will want your camera. You may need a Kleenex or two as well because these kiddos really tug at your heartstrings as they pass you by and give you the biggest smile of their lives.
Join us as we make memories and enjoy their success.
JV Hoops? Nevermind.
Due to COVID (the other teams, not ours), JV Hoops has been canceled. I know, I know. It's like deja vu (don't know how to get that fancy little mark above the 'e' and the 'a' but I'm sure you know what I mean.)
Although our JV basketball games have been canceled, our spirit has not. So before you go pouting and stomping to your room to re-put all the costumes you were going to wear back in your closet, Spirit Week is still a go. Can I get a woop woop?!
- Wednesday, 1/19 - Mathlete vs Athlete
- Thursday, 1/20 - Career Day
- Friday, 1/21 - Black and Gold Day
So let's come to school and show our spirit and pride for the remainder of the week, have some fun and make some great memories. Who knows? You just might make it into the yearbook!
