Did You Miss Parent Teacher Conferences?

I love this time of year but it definitely can put a damper on things that we need to do. Or get done. Or maybe we don't want to get done and we're forcing ourselves to do it because it needs to be done and it's the right thing to do.

Like Parent Teacher Conferences. It probably wasn't something you wanted to do, maybe you were dreading it. Or maybe you weren't. Whatever your emotions were regarding it, the weather decided to make things interesting and in 2020 fashion, things took a detour.

If you didn't get a chance to meet with your child's teacher(s) and you would like to, please reach out to them and schedule a meeting. Let's give these students the best chance they have to make a great end to their 2021-2022 school year career.

South Haven Tournament Results

From the University of Michigan and Ohio State to the New England Patriots and pretty much everybody, every team has an arch-rival. You know what I'm talking about. That one particular team who grates on your nerves in a good kind of way. The team that has the power to spur another one onto victory because the bragging rights are important. Even if you don't get a trophy of a wooden turtle. (Illibuck, between Ohio State and the University of Illinois.)

South Haven is ours. FRCS did a great job last week, the girls' beat West Florida Baptist Academy, Pleasant View Christian Academy, and South Haven to take the championship, and the boys' played against Temple, Berean Baptist, and West Florida Baptist Academy, claiming the championship as well. How awesome is that?! Way to go y'all!

January 28th at 9 a.m. there will be the cutest parade going on in the halls here at FRCS. It is the day to come celebrate our Preschoolers through 1st graders making it through 100 Days of School.

What can you expect? What should you prepare for?

You will want your camera. You may need a Kleenex or two as well because these kiddos really tug at your heartstrings as they pass you by and give you the biggest smile of their lives.

Join us as we make memories and enjoy their success.

JV Hoops? Nevermind.

Due to COVID (the other teams, not ours), JV Hoops has been canceled. I know, I know. It's like deja vu (don't know how to get that fancy little mark above the 'e' and the 'a' but I'm sure you know what I mean.)

Although our JV basketball games have been canceled, our spirit has not. So before you go pouting and stomping to your room to re-put all the costumes you were going to wear back in your closet, Spirit Week is still a go. Can I get a woop woop?!

  • Wednesday, 1/19 - Mathlete vs Athlete
  • Thursday, 1/20 - Career Day
  • Friday, 1/21 - Black and Gold Day

So let's come to school and show our spirit and pride for the remainder of the week, have some fun and make some great memories. Who knows? You just might make it into the yearbook!

While we're speaking of results, let's take a moment and congratulate these students for their success in the Individual Categories for the Fine Arts competition. These students will be going onto Districts in February:

You have to deal with games, practices, dinners, family situations, traffic, and well, just life in general. And we know that things can get pretty hectic. Sometimes even pull your hair out hectic. (I do not recommend this strategy for bald people. Actually I don't recommend it at all. It's rather painful.) So to help us all out - you, your students, the kitchen staff, me...all of us... - I highly recommend setting an alarm or reminder on your phone to put lunches in every week before Sunday night at 11:59. Yes. I sai...

Cross Country 8/16 - MS & Varsity, Siegel High, Away, 6:00  Golf 8/18 - Varsity, Merrol Hyde, Away, 3:30 Volleyball 8/18 - Varsity, Lancaster, Home, 5:00 Patience...patience...patience I don't know if you noticed it or not, but it seems like this past summer just sped by like it was on two wheels. It felt like it barely even started before it was already over. But, no use crying over the inevitable. School had to restart so right now seems like as good a time as any. So welcome back to the returning students - we missed you. School just isn't the same when y'all aren't here. And welcome to the new students - we cannot wait to make your acquaintance and get to know you better. I hope your week - and your student's week - was excellent. If it wasn't, well, I hope it was mostly good. Of course, there were some kinks along the way and that elementary secretary seemed a little scratchy at times (I'm so very sorry. I hate being scratchy and I am determined t...

Voucher Time 5/15 12:00 noon No, it is not Thursday. No I have not lost my mind (fooled you!), and no. I'm not trying to rush things. Just wanted to send out this week's Parent Page today (Wednesday) to give everyone a quick reminder that... Tomorrow is the day the EFS applications roll-out. 12:00 noon is the time, so please, have all your documents uploaded and stored on your computer for ease of access because as soon as the clock tolls 12, things may get congested and a little bit laggish. Good luck and we wish you the best.  Oh yea. Here's the link. So Many Things, 5/17-5/23 I apologize in advance for the length of this week's Parent Page. It's a whopper but I'm positive you want to know all the things so I'll try my hardest to use bullet points to help navigate upcoming activities. 5/17 - MS Awards, 6:00 pm church auditorium 5/19 - 6th Grade Banquet & Graduation, 6:00 5/20 - K5 Play, Graduation, and Elementary Awards (1st-5th grades), 6:00 church ...
