State Fine Arts Competition, 3/27-3/28
It has arrived and if you're on campus here at FRCS, it's because it's one of two things. Either you're the parent of a preschooler and you're dropping your student off, or you have a 3rd-12th grader who is competing in something for State Fine Arts.
Of course, there's the flip side of the matter, too. You could be one of those who actually need to be here and you completely forgot and this is reminding you that you forgot something. There's that. But I won't tell if you don't tell. Just own it. Act like you meant to and no one will be the wiser.
Anyway. Good luck to all who are competing. We wish you the best!
Not sure where or when you need to perform? I got you. Click the form below and you should have all your questions answered.
Spring Break, 3/31-4/4
It's here it's here it's finally here!!! Spring Break will officially begin Monday, March 31st and will end April 4th. School will resume normal hours on April 7th.
Enjoy your time with your family and make some excellent memories! See you on the 7th of April!
TACS Fine Arts Nationals, 4/8-4/11
Well this seems quick, but hey, let's get it done, right? For those high school students who got 1st place at the TACS State Fine Arts Competition, they will be heading to participate in Nationals on April 8th and will be heading home on April 11th.
Elementary Field Day, 4/11
So...many...things!
I realize that you may think I'm wordy - and you're really not wrong. I apologize, but seriously, allllll these words are necessary. Please read all the words and be amazed at how many of your questions are answered. ;)
Anyway. April 11th is going to be a busy day. Students who made it to Nationals will be heading home and the Elementary students will be competing in all the things to become Field Day Master. (Actually no. There isn't an overall winner for Field Day. I think that would probably be bad.)
Elementary students will be meeting at the flagpole on the patio at 8:15 and you will probably want to be prepared for any type of weather.
Remember:
- lunch is provided by the 6th grade class and is a fundraiser for their graduation
- you can order your special lunch via Renweb and it automatically charges to your account (woohoo!)
- if you order via Renweb, there is no need to send in the flyer below
- if you want to pay cash, you may do so either at the door or via the office
Achievement Testing, 4/14-4/17
Good Friday, 4/18
Seriously. No school for preschool through 12th grades on the 18th. Just thought I might need to repeat it just in case someone missed it.
Easter, 4/20

101 Random
- Your feet typically sweat a pint each day. I'm gonna need new socks.
- The small intestine is the largest organ in your body. Which makes me wonder, why the powers that be would name it the small intestine? Why not name it something like 'the skinnier tube that's the largest internal organ'. I don't see the problem here.
- Did you know that some fish actually cough? Not going to lie. If I was ever out deep sea diving and I saw/heard a fish cough, that'd be the last time I went diving. I'd be convinced I lost my mind.
- Speaking of lost minds. Don't you wonder how the first person who ever heard a parrot speak to them reacted? I don't think I'd be telling my friends that a bird talked to me. In fact, I'd probably act like I never heard a thing and let someone else figure it out.
- Snails are pro-nappers. Literally. Like some have napped for 3 years. Before you think 'oh wow, they're so lucky' let me remind you how slimy they are. Still a bit envious? Yea. Me too. On the other side of the issue, who, in their right mind, looked at a non-moving snail for 3 years and figured out it was just napping?! And where do we sign up for jobs such as these?!
- Dad Joke: What has five toes and isn't your foot? My foot.
